Each year, the African American Book Festival creates a literary extravaganza celebrating African American contributions to books, literature, literacy, and literary culture. In 2025, more than 2,000 people attended this festival, transforming Diversity Richmond into a bustling marketplace for authors, publishers, and bookstores. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, attendees can expect engaging conversations, book signings, food trucks, music, entertainment, freebies and giveaways, workshops, and opportunities to connect with fellow literature enthusiasts.
